Recognition Impact Program
The Altrusa Club of
Muncie, Inc., Youth Development Committee, celebrated its 19th annual Senior Recognition Luncheon. The program was
created to honor outstanding graduating senior women for their academic
achievements, participation in school activities and community projects. All
eleven high schools in Muncie and Delaware County participate in the program. Each selects the graduate who best exemplifies the designation “outstanding”
senior from the current graduating class. The student honorees along with their
guidance counselors and parents joined the Altrusa Club members for lunch and to
share highlights of their high school career and plans for the future. All honorees received an engraved pen and other gifts from the Club. Current
Club President Ralu Wolf remarked that this is one of our Club’s favorite
events, because it is a way to encourage young women to pursue a lifetime of
achievement and service to her community.
