Our focus is literacy, women and children, and service. The Muncie Altrusa club is known as the "Leaders in Service" throughout Delaware County, District Six, and Altrusa International.
Youth Development - February Service Project We only have to look around us to see that families in our community are in need of food and basic necessities. To help with their needs, the Youth Development Committee will be coordinating a food drive during February to benefit the pantry at Christian Ministries. While non-perishable pantry items are always needed, Becki Clock, Executive Director, has shared some items that are greatly needed: Paper products--toilet tissue, paper towels Feminine products Baby items Diapers Baby Wipes Canned fruit Box dinners like Hamburger Helper Cereal Food stamps cannot be used to purchase paper goods, including baby items, so there is always a huge demand for those items. Please bring your items to any February meeting. If you would like for the committee to assist you with shopping, please contact Cindy Sollars or Barb Baker about making a donation. The motto on Christian Ministries letterhead states: “connecting people in crisis with a community that cares.” Please help us show that Altrusan's care! |
